J.A.M.M. (Jesus and Me Ministry)

This church auxiliary promotes community outreach and personal spiritual growth with all ages. Sponsored events include:

a.  Camp J.A.M.M.- Each June, children and families enjoy three days and nights in camping- crafts, games, swimming, food, food, food and fun.

b.  Hallelujah Night- held each October 31 offers a night of Christian-based fun for the entire family.[Photos coming in November]

c.  Golf Tournament- Sponsored by J.A.M.M., members of the church and community enjoy a day of fellowship on the links. This event serves as a fundraiser for activities such as Camp J.A.M.M. scholarships for underprivileged children. See photos from the First Annual Golf Tournament held May 2007.

d.  Caroling- Each December, J.A.M.M. sponsors a visit to share songs and good cheer with residents of Wentzville Park Nursing Home. This is a family favorite. The children especially love bringing smiles to the residents.

 Senior Ministry

Retirees will find a support network with Hopewell’s seniors. This group meets periodically throughout the year for  fellowship, service projects and spiritual growth.

 My Brother’s Keeper Men’s Ministry

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.

This multi-generational men’s ministry is open to all high school graduates and up. Through fellowship, guest speakers and activities, My Brother’ Keeper promotes individual and collective accountability in walking with God, family relationships, finances and health. Their motto is- “When one falls, we all fall.”  My Brother’s Keeper meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.- rain or shine.

 Peace of Mind Women's Ministry

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Peace of Mind Women’s Ministry promotes spiritual and personal development along with service to the community. Peace of Mind also sponsors four annual events and the Secret Sister Prayer Ministry.  All women of the church and community are invited. Peace of Mind meets the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 Light (Living in God's Holy Trinity) Teen Ministry

“…let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Promotes spiritual growth and commitment to faith to live as youth “in” the world not “of” the world. LIGHT prepares youth for a future filled with hope, courage, high self-respect and self-confidence, morale values and the desire to succeed.

LIGHT activities include-

a.  Wednesday night bible study 7:00 – 8:00 pm

b.  “Friday Night Lights” social events held throughout the year

c.  Participates in special events such as the Easter and Christmas Programs

Celebrates the character and deeds of God through music

Mass Choir - rehearses on the 1st and 5thnd Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m.

Inspirational Choir rehearses on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m.

Youth Choir rehearses 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m.

Men’s Choir rehearses 4th Saturday of each month 10:30 a.m.

 Sunday School

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

Held each Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with classes for children beginning at age two, all the way up to adults.

Informative, interactive and Bible based, Sunday school provides a time to hear and understand God’s word in a small group setting. Some adult students call Sunday school “fuel for the week.”

 Children's Church

Children Church is held during Sunday morning worship service for children age two though 12 years old. This dynamic program uses interactive computer Christian education programs that are reinforced with arts and crafts to develop a solid Christian foundation. A light snack is provided. Children's Church includes a gospel choir, which sings in “big church” on the fourth Sunday of each month.  The children also participate in the annual Easter and Christmas programs. Children’s Church is fun, educational, spiritual, and exciting.  Rejoice!

 Wednesday Night Bible Study

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

Adults- Held year round on Wednesday’s from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Opens with Prayer Meeting, Hopewell’s Adult Bible Study illuminates the relevancy of scripture to our every day lives. The Pastor and Associate Ministers lead these sessions. Wednesday Night Bible Study also sponsors two social events each year

Youth (ages 12-19 years) - LIGHT (Living In God’s Holy Trinity) Teen Ministry meets to dig deeper into God’s word

Children (age 2 – 11 years)- The kids love coming to “their” Bible study. This program offers a balance of table time in God’s word, fun activities and a light snack.

 Other Ministries of the Church Include
  • Missions- Helps meet the needs of local individuals or families.

  • Cassette Tape Ministry- Provides recordings of Church service for sick, shut-ins and any requesting a copy.

  • Usher Board- Extends hospitality during all services and programs held in the Sanctuary.

  • Athletic Ministry- The Hopewell Eagle’s Softball team rally each spring season for faithful fun on the field.

  • Website Ministry- Works to keep the website relevant for seekers and members

  • Newsletter- Published monthly, The Hopewell Herald provides information, updates, activities and a special Spotlight on a church member.
